►E-MAIL SCAMS!! DANGER! DANGER!Want
to stay virus FREE? Follow these rules! Never open Forwarded E-mails! The ones
with the Fw, or Fw,Fw,Fw in the titles. Best friend sent it? Mother? So what! WHO sent it to them? Do not have your Outlook or Outlook Express or Windows Mail set to show a PREVIEW pane. That can have the same
effect as OPENING an infected mail, or SPAM mail. Do not open mails with EMBEDDED
files. Tell your friends to ATTACH them. That way, you can download them and SCAN them for viruses or malware,
BEFORE you view or open a file. (Your e-mail SHOULD scan incoming mail attachments, but that does't always work. If you browse to porn sites, sites purporting to be in Britain or the BBC, you are most certain to get a virus. Finally, if you or your kids use Peer-to-Peer Networking - programs like Limewire, Bearshare, Asureus, or other
such programs, we have a WRITTEN 100% GUARANTEE - your computer WILL become infected.
This is a SCAM to lure you into dangerous links!→
F.B.I. Vs. Facebook Yes, there are more important matters to worry about than Facebook's recent redesign -- namely, an e-mail
with a message that says "F.B.I. vs. Facebook," which includes the above picture and has a link to download the
Storm Worm botnet,
that nasty piece of malware that connects infected computers and uses them for identity theft and spam. Make sure not to open
any e-mail with this subject and make sure to delete it immediately. If you do accidentally open this e-mail, don't click
on any links within it and delete it immediately. Lastly, before you open another e-mail, make sure you have some sort of
anti-virus software
installed. The FBI encourages people to report any threatening messages because
they can be extortion schemes. Report by clicking here: FBI's
Internet Crime Center.

WARNING: Please, do NOT
let your friend or local computer nerd upgrade your Win98 to WinXP Home, OR the WinXP Home to WinXP Pro, UNLESS you have
purchased a legitimate copy. Microsoft uses an onlinve VALIDATION process and if your copy of Windows does not match
the Certificate of Authenticity, it will NOT validate. No validation means BIG problems and added expense for most users.
Call us for details and SAVE money -- well explain how to properly update, even if you do it yourself !! SPECIAL
ALERT Do NOT click on those warnings that pop up and say your computer is infected!WinFixer,
WinAntiVirus, Anti-Virus 2008 or Anti-Virus 2009, Personal AV, ErrorSafe,
SystemDoctor and DriveCleaner are identical or similar computer
programs available for Microsoft Windows
that claim to repair computer system problems. They are forcibly
installed on the victim's computer by the SysProtect
vector. They display false information with regards
to a user's computer, thereby confusing said user into believing their PC is infected with viruses, spyware and/or other forms
of malware. The adverts pop up a display with notifications to convince the user that something may be amiss with the computer,
or run a fake diagnostic. The program repeatedly prompts the user to purchase a licensed copy of the program. Due
to these problems, WinFixer and its sister applications are extortionist spyware
and malware. Indeed, their misleading popups and forced
downloads mirror the infection strategies of many spyware programs. All computers infected with this trojan exhibit sluggish
performance. Symantec's Report on Winfixer: [1] McAfee's Report on Winfixer:
[2]
Kaspersky also has it listed as mal-ware: [3] Sophos' Report: [4] A
possible fix?: [5] WinFixer's
claim: WinFixer 2005 is a useful utility to scan and fix any system, registry and hard drive errors. It
ensures system stability and performance, frees wasted hard drive space and recovers damaged Word, Excel, music and video
files. In truth, WinFixer does none of these things. For

RED ALERT! Bitmar Online WebBrowserTV! One
of our employees feel prey to this BOGUS service/program. Here's what they say when you attempt to get a refund when
you are unsatisfied: From Seller: BitMar.com on 2/17/2008 10:57 PST ******** PHISING ATTACKS – Not your grandpa’s
fish story!
Symantec’s annual Internet Security Threat Report notes an 81% increase in phishing
attacks against consumers. Phishing scams involves another party, trying to trick
you into providing log-in details for bank accounts, payment services and credit cards.
It’s usually an e-mail sent to a customer asking for account details, or informing you to click on a link that
will take you to a fake login page (known as a spoof page). As more and more
businesses provide online services, and more and more consumers take advantage of the ease of using the Internet to shop,
pay bills and perform other online transactions, phishing scams will only increase.
The auction site, eBay was one of the most phished brands on the Internet.
The report reveals that home users, not businesses are the most targeted victims of phishing scams. End-users like shoppers, are the most likely to become victims since all too many are easily tricked by
spoof (fake) websites.
The most heavily targeted is the financial sector (84% of phishing sites tracked).
An increasingly common form of malware are the type that uses a “modular” type of code – a computer
code that will generate itself by updating or downloading more aggressive malware once the first program is on your computer. These programs will either phish for sensitive information on a target computer, or
try to trick you into providing the information; again usually by inviting you to click on a link to what looks like a legitimate
site but is a look-alike spoof. By tricking you into clicking on a link, the
spammers do not have to use programming code that is more and more frequently being detected by anti-spyware and anti-malware
programs.
WARNING: Never … repeat, NEVER click on
a link in your e-mail; especially a link that is supposed to be your bank or credit card company! You would never fill-in a form, sent to you in regular postal
mail, providing all of your financial details, and send it to me in a self-addressed envelope addressed to, “Mastercard,
121 My Address, Butler, PA, would you?
That’s exactly what you’re doing when you click on a link in your e-mail, so don’t do it! Instead, manually type the address
that you KNOW is correct into your web browser’s address bar, AND look for the padlock symbol in your browser bar! Finally, make sure your anti-virus software and your firewall are up to
date!

Virus & Worm Alerts! AOL Badware! The anti-spyware group, headed by Harvard
and Oxford Universities, www.stopbadware.org recommends that users
do NOT install AOL 9.0 software. The AOL 9.0 program, "adds software without disclosure," and
"interferes with computer use." According to the group's online alert, it considers AOL software irresponsible on eight counts. It adds software
such as You've Got Pictures screensaver and ViewPoint Media Player without informing users. It also adds the AOL toolbar
and AOL Internet Explorer without adequate disclosure, completely taking over the Microsoft Internet Explorer. When
users discover these issues, the are unable to fully uninstall the programs. "We currently recommend that users do not install the version of AOL that we tested, [AOL 9.0] unless the user
is comfortable with the level of risk we identified," the organization concluded. Read the full report at www.stopbadware.org .
WANRNING! AOL Instant Messenger
(AIM): Users of AIM usually receive a link from a contact in their buddy list asking them to visit a Web
page. When the user clicks the link, they are forwarded to a malicious Web site that downloads the virus onto their computer.
This virus then sends the same link to every contact on their buddy list, and the process repeats.
Users of AIM are encouraged to visit www.aim.com to make sure they are using
the latest version of the software.
In the meantime, it is important that you help protect your system:- Be careful when clicking on links in IM messages--even when they seem to come from friends.
- DO NOT click on images in any instant messages or away messages even if they look harmless.
- DO NOT open any email message containing links even if the link may look harmless or appear to be
from a friend.
If you become infected with this virus you
can download and run the AIM Fix, which should help permanently remove the virus from your computer.
Note: this virus is different from the "Mywife" worm to which an advisory was also released on February
03, 2006. You can read more about it here. ******************************************************************************* AOL AIM Worm Alert: A new worm that targets users of America
Online's AOL Instant Messenger is believed to be the first that actually chats with the intended victim to dupe the target
into activating a malicious payload. The
worm, dubbed IM.Myspace04.AIM, has arrived in instant messages that state: "lol
thats cool" and included a URL to a malicious file "clarissa17.pif." When unsuspecting users have responded,
perhaps asking if the attachment contained a virus, the worm has replied: "lol no its not its a virus." The malicious file disables security software, installs a backdoor and tweaks system files. Then
it starts sending itself to contacts on the victim's buddy list. But the worm
is programmed so that the infected user cannot see the messages that are being sent out by the worm.
This worm
is not widespread, but attackers are just trying out this new technique. The inclusion of an IM bot is another sign that IM worms are becoming more sophisticated. Another
worm, takes a more traditional route: it spreads under the guise of a holiday greeting card. The holiday worm, dubbed Aimdes.E, targets AIM users and arrives with the message:
"The user has sent you a Greeting Card, to open it visit:" followed by a link. Once the target clicks on the link,
the worm installs itself on the system. It opens a backdoor on the computer and sends itself to contacts on the buddy list.
Advice to users is to be careful when clicking on links in IM messages--even
when they seem to come from friends--and to use up-to-date antivirus software. When receiving a link in an instant message,
the best practice is to verify with the sender if the link was sent intentionally or not.

Diskeeper® The Number One Automatic Defragmenter™ Diskeeper Home Edition: Diskeeper handles a primary
cause of slow computers.Fragmentation occurs when files are written to your hard disk in separate chunks. Your drive has many
bits of storage space here and there; it’s not kept in one big place. So when you save a file, the computer divides
it up and sticks these bits of your file wherever they will fit. So the next time you open that file, the computer must look
in several places on your drive to open the whole file. This slows everything down. Instead of your file popping up on your
screen right away, the computer reads some of your file here, then over there and back again before it gets the whole thing.
And then the file opens. Diskeeper puts your files back together. It monitors your hard drive and when files get fragmented
into separate chunks, it puts them back together. No more looking here and there for a file’s pieces, it’s all
in one spot. You documents will snap up on the screen like lightning again. Just like when your computer was new. And best
of all – Diskeeper does this all automatically. You can “Set It and Forget It” ® and Diskeeper will
keep your system fast and free of fragmentation. Diskeeper Professional Edition: Which Diskeeper Edition is right for you?
Diskeeper Professional Edition allows you to defragment other computers on your network when Diskeeper Server Edition is installed
on your server. Diskeeper Home Edition has all the functionality of Diskeeper Professional Edition but lacks the network defragmenting
ability. If you only have one computer at home, Diskeeper Home Edition is all you will ever need.
Undelete
Home Edition: HOW MUCH ARE THE FILES ON YOUR COMPUTER WORTH TO YOU? Don’t Leave A Critical Gap In Your Data Protection!
Now You Can Restore Accidentally Deleted Files Fast with Undelete®"Undelete saved my bacon!" That's what countless
Undelete users have told us. Accidentally deleted files are at the top of everyone's list of computer horrors.
You
store a lot of data on your computer, and you need to protect it 24/7. Re-creating accidentally deleted files takes a lot
of time, and using backups to restore deleted files is not always reliable—especially if you've created and deleted
something between backups. You may think your data is protected, but every day we get desperate calls from people who have
lost important files—and they can’t get them back. Once a file is accidentally deleted it can be overwritten with
the very next keystroke. Backup, virus protection, recycle bins—they all serve a purpose, but without Undelete your
photos, spreadsheets, word docs, etc. are all at risk. Why? The recycle bin doesn’t catch everything deleted. And if
you use a backup system, it doesn’t cover files created or modified between backups. Many deletions are gone forever.
Why operate at risk? Undelete is a real solution and it’s very inexpensive. Undelete replaces your recycle bin with
a Recovery Bin and catches all deleted files automatically, only purging itself at default intervals or intervals you set
up. Think of it as a computer expert who can find and bring back any file you delete instantly. Undelete Professional Edition:
Which Undelete Edition is right for you? Undelete Professional Edition allows you to remotely recover deleted files on your
network when Undelete Server Edition is installed on your server. Undelete Home Edition has all the functionality of Undelete
Professional Edition but lacks the network file recovery ability. If you only have one computer at home, Undelete Home Edition
is all you will ever need.
